SERVAL launched as a web application

We are excited to launch SERVAL, our software platform for retinal vessel analysis in fundus images, as a web application.

SERVAL (SEoul Retinal Vessel Assessment Library) is the culmination of our lab’s years of research on retinal vessel analysis, including deep learning based vessel segmentation and artery/vein classification, interactive semi-automatic editing, and graphical modeling for topological consistency of the vessel tree. The platform was introduced in our Scientific Reports 2025 paper, with the initial code release available on GitHub.

With the new web application, researchers and clinicians can now use SERVAL directly in the browser without any local installation. We hope this makes precise retinal vessel assessment more accessible to the community.
